🍜 Platinum Academy: Learn to Make Zaru Soba – A Cool & Light Japanese Delight
Organized by the KMITL Lifelong Learning Center (KLLC)
As part of the Platinum Academy program for active senior learners, participants joined a hands-on cooking workshop to explore the art of making Zaru Soba—a refreshing and healthy Japanese cold noodle dish, perfect for any season.
🧑🍳 Workshop led by:

Chair of the Japanese Language Program, Faculty of Liberal Arts, KMITL
💬 Workshop Highlights:
Participants learned to boil and rinse soba noodles, stir frequently to avoid clumping, then cool in ice water for the perfect firm texture.
They also prepared the traditional dipping soba sauce, adding wasabi and chopped scallions for extra flavor.
Finally, the noodles were served with a sprinkle of shredded seaweed, dipped in the flavorful broth—and enjoyed with great enthusiasm!
