King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), recognizing the importance of energy security and clean energy, has initiated studies on the utilization of a Micro Modular Reactor (MMR). This effort is also part of the United States’ Foundational Infrastructure for Responsible Use of SMR Technology (FIRST) Program, which aims to support countries in the early stages of considering Small Modular Reactor (SMR) and MMR technologies. The program ensures that such advanced technologies can be adopted safely, securely, and in compliance with international safety standards.
