Chiang Rai to Host AIPH Spring Meeting 2025 & Green City Conference

King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), through its Heritage Asia Research Community (HARC) and under the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Surasak Kangkao and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chaturong Laohapeinsang, has been appointed as part of the organizing committee for the prestigious AIPH Spring Meeting & Green City Conference 2025, to be held in Chiang Rai, Thailand.

With support from the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), the Department of Agriculture, and the Thai Horticultural Society, Chiang Rai has officially been selected by AIPH as the host city — marking the first time Thailand will host this global conference since the last International Horticultural Expo in 2011.

In alignment with KMITL’s internationalization strategy, spearheaded by President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Komsan Maleesee and Dean Prof. Dr. Priyaporn Tangkuna-nan of the School of Industrial Education and Technology, the institute will play a key role in coordinating the Focused Group Workshop: Green City for Chiang Rai, a platform for sharing innovations in urban sustainability, agriculture, culture, and environmental resilience.
