King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang recognizes the role and responsibility of higher education institutions in driving sustainable development, particularly in ensuring efficient resource utilization for maximum benefit alongside social and environmental responsibility. Therefore, procurement is regarded as a key mechanism to support such development in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). To ensure that procurement operations are efficient, transparent, and create balanced economic, social, and environmental value, the Institute hereby establishes the Sustainable Procurement Policy as follows:

1. Value and Efficiency
   Procurement shall consider value for money and efficiency in resource utilization together with quality, price, after-sales service, and impacts on the economy, society, and environment.
2. Environmentally Friendly Procurement (Green Procurement)
   The Institute shall promote environmentally friendly procurement by:
   • Selecting goods and services certified with environmental standards or eco-labels.
   • Supporting suppliers with sustainable practices or measures to reduce environmental impact.
   • Considering reduction of resource use, reuse, and recycling.
3. Support for SMEs and Local Enterprises
   The Institute shall promote participation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and community enterprises, including local employment, to generate income and strengthen local economies.
4. Transparency and Compliance
   Procurement shall be conducted transparently, fairly, and in a verifiable manner, in strict compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and rules.
5. Electronic Procurement System
   Internal units shall be encouraged to conduct procurement through the electronic government procurement system (e-GP) in accordance with government requirements.

This Sustainable Procurement Policy shall take effect from the date of announcement onward to ensure efficient implementation and achievement of sustainable development goals.
